The luggage policy for Rocky Mountaineer allows a maximum of two checked bags per traveller, with a combined total weight of 30 kilograms (66 pounds). Each piece of luggage cannot weigh more than 23 kilograms (50 pounds). Every bag must have a clear identification tag, which allows staff to handle it properly during transfers. A motorcoach transfers checked luggage between overnight stops, leaving passengers responsible only for carrying a small day bag during the train journey.
