Trip and Cancellation Insurance
Travel insurance is a good idea. Rocky Mountaineer works with Allianz Travel Insurance. However, as a result of numerous complaints from travelers who have had a great deal of trouble even filing a claim, and trouble receiving a refund, we recommend you shop around for travel insurance.
For example, take a look at Insure My Trip.com. This online travel insurance website suggests a number of insurance companies and compares them for you. Also take a look at this Forbes article about the best travel insurance companies. Finally, a number of people have told us they purchase travel insurance from Costco with good results.
