Journey through the Clouds Discovery is a 7 night package and one of our most popular.  Its strength is that you see the two major National Parks: Jasper National Park and Banff National Park in a week.

This package includes one night each in Vancouver and Kamloops (midpoint stopover) and two nights each in Jasper National Park and Banff National Park. These stays are combined with two memorable days on the Rocky Mountaineer between Vancouver and Jasper National Park.

The Journey through the Clouds Discovery begins with an overnight stay in Vancouver each Monday or Thursday from April 17 to October 12, 2024. It begins with a night in Calgary each Tuesday and Saturday from April 15 to October 10, 2024.

Levels of Service on the Rocky Mountaineer

  • SilverLeaf Service includes reserved seating in a custom built single level car with expansive windows curving into the ceiling, hot breakfast and lunch served at your seat, and complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the day.
  • GoldLeaf Service – Reserved seating in the GoldLeaf elevated dome car. Breakfast and lunch are served in the GoldLeaf dining car and GoldLeaf passengers have access to the outdoor viewing platform.
  • GoldLeaf Deluxe – GoldLeaf Service on the train with upgraded rooms at hotels. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
